Playing
How do I play?
Drag a sock onto the sock that matches it. The pair rolls itself into a ball. Then drag the ball over the laundry basket and let go, or flick it towards the basket. The pile is finished when every ball is in the basket.
Can I see the walkthrough again?
Yes. Tap How to play at the bottom of the main menu.
Is there a timer or a score?
No. There is no timer, no score, no lives and no daily limit. Take as long as you like.
How do I change the size of the pile?
On the main menu, tap the Pile button to cycle through the sizes. The free game offers 4 and 6 pairs. With The Full Drawer you can also choose 8, 10, 12 or 16 pairs.
How do I pause, or start a new pile?
Tap the pause button in the top-right corner to return to the menu. From there choose Back to the table to carry on, or Start a fresh pile for a new one.
Is my pile saved if I close the app?
Your settings are always saved. A pile in progress is kept while the app is in the background, but if you close the app completely or your iPhone restarts, you will start with a fresh pile next time.
Sound and haptics
I can’t hear any sound.
First check that Sounds is set to On in the main menu. Sock It! also respects your iPhone’s Ring/Silent switch, so if your phone is on silent the game is silent too. Turn the volume up, or switch silent mode off.
Can I listen to music or a podcast while I play?
Yes. The game’s sounds mix quietly with whatever else is playing instead of stopping it.
How do I turn off the vibrations?
Tap Haptics on the main menu to switch them off. Haptics also follow your iPhone’s system setting in Settings → Sounds & Haptics.
The Full Drawer
Is Sock It! free?
Yes. The free game is the whole game in shorter sittings: 4 and 6 pair piles and eight sock patterns, with unlimited play and no adverts.
What does The Full Drawer unlock?
Piles of up to 16 pairs and all 16 sock patterns. It is a single, one-time purchase — not a subscription — and you keep it for good.
I bought The Full Drawer but it isn’t unlocked.
Open the main menu, tap Unlock the full drawer, then tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy it. If it still doesn’t unlock, contact support.
Will it work on my other devices, or for my family?
Yes. It unlocks on every iPhone signed in with the same Apple ID, and it can be shared with your Apple Family Sharing group.
The purchase says “Waiting on approval”.
That means Ask to Buy is on for this Apple ID. The Full Drawer unlocks automatically once the family organiser approves it.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I have a promo code. How do I redeem it?
Open the App Store, tap your profile picture, then Redeem Gift Card or Code, and enter the code. Then open Sock It! — the unlock appears on its own. If it doesn’t, use Restore purchase.
Devices and privacy
Which devices does Sock It! work on?
Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. The socks are simulated as real cloth, so on older iPhones a smaller pile will feel smoother.
Is there an iPad version?
Sock It! is designed for iPhone. There is no iPad version yet.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. The game works completely offline. You only need a connection to buy or restore The Full Drawer.
Does Sock It! collect my data or show ads?
No. There are no adverts, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing you do in the game leaves your phone. See the privacy policy for details.
