Tap + in the top right corner to start a new list and give it a name. To add an item, tap + add item under the list, type, and press Done.

Long-press the list’s name (for example WORK). You’ll get Rename, Uncheck all and Delete list. Deleting a list also deletes the items in it.

Long-press the item. You’ll see Start focus (or Uncheck if it’s already done) and Delete. Tapping the little box on the left checks or unchecks an item straight away.

Tap an item that isn’t done yet. The app asks “How long will this take?”. Pick a time (from 1 to 180 minutes) and tap Start. The page slowly fills with marker from the bottom as time passes. Tap Pause any time, or Done ✓ to finish and cross the item off.

Your estimate is remembered and shown next to the item, so next time the timer starts from it.

The timer keeps accurate time. It’s based on the clock, not on the app staying open. When you come back, it shows the right amount of time left. With the unlock, the countdown also stays on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

Tap × to stop without finishing. The item stays open on your list. If you focused for more than about 20 seconds, the time still counts towards your weekly stats.

Yes. While the timer screen is open, the app keeps your screen from dimming and locking. It goes back to normal when you close the timer.

No. The app doesn’t ask for notification permission. When the timer runs out you’ll feel a light haptic if the app is open, and the Lock Screen timer shows the countdown if you’ve left the app.

No. It’s a single payment. You’ll never be charged again for it.

Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID you bought it with. Open Crossed Off, tap the sliders icon at the top, then tap restore a previous purchase. You can also find the restore button at the bottom of the unlock screen.

The app couldn’t reach the App Store. Check that you’re online, that you’re signed in to the App Store, and that in-app purchases are allowed under Settings › Screen Time › Content & Privacy Restrictions. Then close and reopen the app.

Not at the moment. Family Sharing isn’t turned on for this purchase, so each Apple ID needs its own unlock.

All payments go through Apple, so refunds do too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and pick the purchase. If the refund is approved, the paid papers, inks and features lock again and the app goes back to the free page. Your lists stay put.

Nothing is deleted. All your lists stay on the page. You just can’t add another one until you unlock again.

Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen until the icons jiggle, tap Edit › Add Widget, search for Crossed Off, and pick the small, medium or large Today’s page widget. It shows the items you haven’t finished yet.

The Home Screen widget and the Lock Screen timer come with Unlock Everything. Open Crossed Off and unlock, or tap restore a previous purchase if you've already bought it. The widget updates as soon as you leave the app.

The widget refreshes when you leave the app and about once an hour. Open Crossed Off and go back to the Home Screen to refresh it. The widget always uses ruled paper, whichever paper you pick in the app.

The Lock Screen timer is part of the unlock, so check that first. If you've unlocked, Live Activities might be off. Go to Settings › Crossed Off and turn on Live Activities, then start a new timer. The Dynamic Island version needs an iPhone that has one.

No. There’s no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start writing.

Not yet. Your lists are stored only on the device you write them on. The unlock works on all your devices, but each device keeps its own page.

If you move to a new iPhone using an iCloud Backup, a computer backup, or Quick Start, your lists come across with everything else. If you delete the app or set up the new phone without restoring a backup, they’re gone. We don’t keep a copy anywhere.
