Baby Days ("we," "us," "our") provides the Baby Days iOS app. This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: your voice recordings never leave your device, and we don't run analytics, ads, or tracking of any kind.
Baby Days is an independent iOS app. You can reach us at bjhonny275@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.
Baby Days lets you record diary entries, attach photos, track milestones, and create child profiles. The data the app touches falls into these categories:
Everything you create — recordings, transcripts, photos, milestones, profiles — is stored locally on your iPhone in the app's sandboxed storage.
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, the app syncs your data to your own private CloudKit container (iCloud.com.sahilpabby.babydays) so it's available across your devices and recoverable if you lose your phone. This is your iCloud, not ours. We cannot read your data. Apple, not Baby Days, controls access. If you delete your iCloud data or disable iCloud for the app, the synced copy is removed by Apple.
Transcription runs on your device using Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer with the requiresOnDeviceRecognition flag set. Audio is not sent to Apple's servers, to us, or to any third party for transcription.
The one-time Baby Days Pro purchase is processed by Apple via the App Store and StoreKit. Apple receives the transaction; we receive an entitlement that says "this Apple ID has purchased Pro." We do not see your Apple ID, payment method, or billing details. Apple's privacy policy applies to their handling of the transaction.
Baby Days has no servers of its own. There are no accounts to create, no logins, no profiles on a Baby Days backend. Specifically, the app does not collect:
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. Period.
The app provides features that you can choose to use to share specific entries — for example, sending a single entry via iMessage, WhatsApp, or email; or exporting a PDF book. When you do, the destination app's privacy policy applies to that copy.
Baby Days is designed for parents and caregivers to record memories about their own children. The app is not directed at children, and children do not create accounts or interact directly with any Baby Days service. Because the app stores everything on the parent's own device and iCloud, and because there is no Baby Days backend, no personal information about a child is transmitted to us. If you believe data has been collected from a child in a way this policy does not cover, contact us at bjhonny275@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.
Your data is yours. You can delete it any time:
Because we have no copy of your data, we cannot delete it for you — but we also cannot retain it after you do the above. If you have any difficulty, email bjhonny275@gmail.com and we'll walk you through it.
Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have specific rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Because Baby Days does not hold a copy of your personal information on any server, the most direct way to exercise these rights is the deletion steps above. If you need a written confirmation, email us.
Data on your device is protected by iOS file encryption tied to your device passcode. Data in iCloud is protected by Apple's CloudKit security model. Network calls (only to Apple-controlled endpoints, e.g., StoreKit) use HTTPS. There is no Baby Days server to breach because there is no Baby Days server.
If this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, surface a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you've accepted the updated policy.
